HB619 appropriates $1,000,000 to the solid waste management fund for reducing and diverting organic wastes.

HB619 allocates $1,000,000 to the solid waste management fund for the biennium ending June 30, 2027. Half of this amount will prioritize projects aimed at reducing and diverting food, food waste, and other organic wastes until June 30, 2028. The governor is authorized to draw the funds from the treasury. This act takes effect July 1, 2025.
