Text Text

New Hampshire HB465 amends the housing opportunity zone program to allow municipalities to establish zones for tax relief on housing units.

New Hampshire HB465 modifies the housing opportunity zone program by allowing cities and towns to establish zones for tax relief on housing units. To qualify, at least one-third of the housing units must be designated for low-income households. Owners of accessory dwelling units do not need to verify income if the units are affordable to low-income households. The bill also sets rules for income verification frequency and tenant lease renewal eligibility. The changes take effect July 1, 2025.
