HB1727

Relative to student data sharing for the Summer EBT program.

Final Passage·7/6/26

Establishes a secure electronic mechanism for sharing student data between the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human.

The bill amends RSA 161 and RSA 189 to facilitate the Summer EBT program by establishing a secure electronic mechanism for sharing student data between the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services. It mandates that school districts and school administrative units provide parents with a notice and opt-out form when deciding on free or reduced-price meals. If parents do not opt out within 15 days, students will be automatically enrolled in the Summer EBT program.
