Text Text

New Hampshire HB1714 authorizes the state to issue bonds for funding public school expenses.

New Hampshire HB1714 amends RSA 6-A to allow the state treasurer to issue bonds for public school funding. The bonds, issued under the terms set by the governor and executive counsel, must not exceed the amount necessary for adequate funding. Proceeds from the bond sales will be deposited into the education trust fund. The bill also mandates that school administrative units provide detailed information for statewide base education adequacy aid payments, subject to public audit and review. This act takes effect upon passage.
