Introduced·12/10/25
Text Text

Establishes mandatory minimum insurance coverage for motor vehicles in New Hampshire.

New Hampshire HB1568 amends RSA 264 to mandate that all motor vehicles registered in the state must maintain a liability insurance policy. The policy must cover bodily injury or death of one person with a minimum of $25,000, bodily injury or death of two or more persons with a minimum of $50,000 per accident, and property damage with a minimum of $25,000 per accident. Proof of insurance must be provided during vehicle registration and upon request by law enforcement. Failure to maintain active insurance results in vehicle registration suspension and civil penalties.
