Requires proof of insurance or financial responsibility for vehicle registration.

Amends RSA 264 to require proof of financial responsibility at vehicle registration. Drivers must provide proof of insurance or a certificate of deposit, surety bond, or other evidence of financial responsibility. The Division of Motor Vehicles must record this proof and adopt rules for implementation. Failure to provide proof upon request by law enforcement results in immediate suspension of driver’s license and registration privileges until proof is provided or claims are satisfied. This act aims to ensure all drivers are financially responsible before operating a vehicle.
