Text Text

HB1459 standardizes post-retirement part-time hour limits for certain retirees in New Hampshire.

HB1459 amends RSA 100-A:1 by adding a new paragraph XXXIV-a, ensuring that retirees who were employed in qualifying positions before January 1, 2019, can continue to work up to 1,664 hours per year without changes to their hourly limits, regardless of job title, duties, or employing entity. This applies to retirees who were employed in part-time positions at the 1,664-hour limit as of January 1, 2019, and continue to work without breaks in employment exceeding 28 days. The act takes effect 60 days after its passage.
