New Hampshire HB1424 amends RSA 516 to allow service of a summons on law enforcement officers and public officials.

New Hampshire HB1424 introduces a new section in RSA 516, allowing service of a summons to law enforcement officers and public officials. This service can be executed by reading, handing, or delivering an attested copy of the writ of summons to the officer or official, and by paying or tendering the fees for travel and attendance. The act will take effect on January 1, 2027.
