HB1371 prohibits landlords from charging application fees for residential rental agreements in New Hampshire.

HB1371 amends RSA 356-C to prohibit landlords from charging application fees for residential rental agreements. The bill allows landlords to accept government-issued identification, an individual taxpayer identification number, or a social security number for background or credit checks. The act will take effect 60 days after its passage.
