New Hampshire HB1344 establishes a framework for intermunicipal compacts to jointly provide municipal services.

New Hampshire HB1344 introduces a new chapter to the Revised Statutes of New Hampshire, allowing two or more contiguous municipalities to form intermunicipal governing authorities through compacts. These authorities can provide services such as public safety, water and sewer, solid waste, housing, planning, and transportation. The authorities are governed by boards composed of representatives from each member municipality and are subject to oversight by the state.
