New Hampshire HB1319 enables towns, village districts, or school districts to adopt or rescind a Local Fiscal Accountability Committee for Towns and Schools (FACTS). This committee consists of 3 to 7 members-at-large who serve staggered terms of 3 years. The FACTS committee's duties include preparing a budget proposal, participating in public hearings, and recommending changes to the proposed budget. The committee can be adopted by a majority vote at an annual meeting and may be rescinded in the same manner.
