HB1266

Allowing election moderators access to the area designated for counting votes during the performance of their duties.

Final Passage·6/10/26

Allows election moderators to access the vote-counting area during their duties.

The bill amends RSA 659:58 to allow election moderators to access the area designated for counting votes during the performance of their duties. It also states that any election official who is also a candidate for office, other than an election official position, must disqualify themselves from election duties related to the tabulation of votes for which they are a candidate. The moderator will then appoint an assistant to take the disqualified official's place. This act will take effect 60 days after its passage.
