New Hampshire HB1250 establishes that employers with 20 or more employees must allow up to 25 hours of unpaid leave for childbirth, postpartum care, and pediatric medical appointments within the first year of a child's birth or adoption. Employers can request documentation to ensure the leave is used for its intended purpose. The employee's job must be available upon return unless it would unduly disrupt the employer's operations. The act takes effect January 1, 2027.
