New Hampshire HB1214 amends definitions and allows municipalities to control public library governance.

New Hampshire HB1214 amends the definition of "library trustees" to clarify they are the governing board of a public library. It also introduces a new section allowing municipalities to adopt provisions for their governing body to assume control over public library governance, with library trustees serving in an advisory role. This act will take effect 60 days after its passage.
