Relative to caller identification requirements for telemarketing calls.

Introduced·12/1/25
Text Text

New Hampshire HB1208 mandates caller identification requirements for telemarketing calls to residents.

New Hampshire HB1208 amends RSA 359-E to enhance caller identification requirements for telemarketing calls. It defines "valid, returnable number" and "Reassigned Numbers Database." The bill requires any telemarketing call to disclose the caller's name, the call's purpose, and the offered goods or services. Businesses must ensure the transmitted number is a valid, returnable number, excluding personal calls. It prohibits businesses from using numbers listed as disconnected or reassigned in the federal Reassigned Numbers Database. The act will take effect 60 days after its passage.
