HB1145

Relative to affordable housing investment fees.

Introduced·12/1/25
Text Text

Establishes affordable housing investment fees to fund affordable housing units in New Hampshire.

The bill introduces affordable housing investment fees to support the creation of affordable housing units in municipalities. These fees are collected at the time of certificate of occupancy issuance or when the development is ready for use, if no certificate is required. The fees are intended to reflect the need for additional affordable housing. Municipalities must report on the use of these fees annually. The bill also outlines the conditions under which these fees can be assessed and spent, ensuring they are segregated from the general fund and used for designated purposes.
