HB1131 amends the official ballot referendum form of town meetings in New Hampshire. It specifies that the question regarding the adoption of the official ballot referendum form must be placed first on the warrant of the annual meeting. Voting on this question will be by ballot but will not appear on the official ballot used to elect officers. The polls will remain open for at least one hour after the discussion on the question. This act takes effect on July 1, 2026.
