HB1107

Enabling municipal budget committees to have alternate members.

Introduced·12/1/25
Text Text

Allows municipal budget committees to have alternate members-at-large.

This bill amends New Hampshire's RSA 32:15 to allow municipal budget committees to include one to three alternate members-at-large. These alternate members would be appointed by the budget committee, serve one-year terms, and have the same authority as regular members. The bill also modifies RSA 669:71 to specify how vacancies in alternate membership-at-large should be filled. The changes would take effect at the next annual meeting following the meeting at which the change was adopted.
