New Hampshire HB1105 extends the term of office for certain Belknap county elected officials to 4 years.

New Hampshire HB1105 amends RSA 653:1, V to change the term of office for the Belknap county sheriff, county attorney, county treasurer, register of deeds, and register of probate from 2 years to 4 years. This change applies starting from the 2026 state general election. The bill also modifies RSA 7:33 to specify that the county attorney for Belknap county will be elected for a 4-year term beginning at the 2026 state general election. This act will take effect 60 days after its passage.
