New Hampshire HB1077 mandates domestic violence prevention as a wellness subject in school curriculum.

New Hampshire HB1077 amends RSA 189:10, II to require schools to include domestic violence prevention in their wellness curriculum. This change mandates that health education, physical education, and wellness topics cover physiology, hygiene, health, interpersonal relationships, and the effects of alcohol and other drugs. The bill also includes prevention of domestic and sexual violence, child abuse, HIV/AIDS, and sexually transmitted diseases. This act will take effect 60 days after its passage.
