HB1027 amends New Hampshire law to require local conservation commissions to seek approval from local governing bodies for appropriations and fund.

HB1027 amends RSA 36-A:5 to require local conservation commissions to seek approval from local governing bodies for appropriations and fund disbursements. Funds may be placed in a conservation fund and accumulated annually, with expenditures authorized by a majority of the commission. Contributions to qualified organizations for property purchases must be approved by the local governing body and require a public hearing. The act takes effect 60 days after passage.
