The Nursing Home Emergency Preparedness Study Commission is established to analyze the ability of nursing homes to respond to public health emergencies. The commission will examine whether nursing homes maintain traditional or assisted living environments, review policies and procedures for emergencies, assess staffing and funding sufficiency, and make recommendations. The commission consists of 15 members, including representatives from the New Jersey Hospital Association, nursing homes, and the public. It must submit a report within 12 months and will expire after report submission.
