Requires DEP to study water use effects of large-scale data centers.

Requires the Department of Environmental Protection to conduct an evaluation of the short and long-term effects of water use by large-scale data centers. The evaluation must include the impact on overall state water use and costs, operational efficiency, cooling requirements, and direct or indirect costs. The department must submit a report to the Governor and the Legislature within fifteen months. The act defines "large-scale data center" and mandates the collection of specific information from relevant entities.
