This bill allows governing bodies of certain cities and counties in Nevada to impose linkage fees on developers of residential units over 1,000 square feet to fund affordable housing. The fees can be used for utility hookup costs and impact fees. The bill also requires governing bodies to ensure an adequate supply of affordable housing and adopt measures to maintain and develop affordable housing. The bill's provisions apply only in regions governed by a regional planning agency created by interstate compact.
