Complete·5/28/25

SB97 revises the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange to allow non-citizens to purchase health plans and expands the Board of Directors.

SB97 makes several changes to the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange. It requires the Executive Director to apply for a federal waiver to allow non-citizens to purchase health plans on the Exchange. The bill expands the Board of Directors by adding two voting members appointed by the Senate Majority Leader and the Speaker of the Assembly. It also appropriates $1,000,000 for the costs of an actuarial analysis and other administrative tasks related to the waiver application.
