SB88 amends Nevada law to enhance support for offenders upon release from prison. The Director of the Department of Corrections is required to provide mediation services to offenders and their support network before release. Upon release, the Director must offer a photo identification card, assistance in obtaining a driver's license or Medicaid enrollment, and a 30-day supply of prescribed medication if applicable. The Director is also tasked with discharging any outstanding medical debt and providing clothing and transportation to the offender's residence or place of conviction.
