SB55

Nevada SB55 establishes provisions for agritourism, including definitions, grant programs, and liability protections.

Nevada SB55 defines "agritourism" as the combination of agriculture, horticulture, or viticulture with tourism by a business to attract visitors. The bill requires the Commission on Tourism to develop a grant program for agritourism businesses and mandates the State Department of Agriculture to create marketing campaigns and provide outreach. It also allows operators to claim immunity from liability for inherent risks if proper warnings are posted. The bill appropriates funds for these purposes and requires the Director to adopt regulations for agritourism businesses.
