This bill extends the temporary increase of the maximum amount of proceeds from vehicle license and registration fees that can be used for administrative costs in the State Highway Fund. Originally set to expire on June 30, 2026, the increase from 22 percent to 27 percent is now extended to June 30, 2027. The proceeds from these fees, excluding administrative costs, are mandated to be deposited in the State Highway Fund. The changes become effective on July 1, 2025.
