Nevada SB444 amends existing law to require school districts to adopt policies on student use of electronic communication devices, including discipline measures and exceptions. The policy must address use during instruction, include exceptions for emergencies, instructional use, and individualized education programs, and be included in student behavior rules. The policy must also define "electronic communication device" to include devices capable of transmitting audio, written, or pictorial information.
