SB437

Enacts provisions relating to Internet consumer lenders. (BDR 55-951)

Complete·5/28/25

Nevada SB437 regulates contracts and licensing for Internet consumer lenders.

Nevada SB437 amends existing law to require that contracts between Internet consumer lenders and Nevada residents be governed by Nevada law and mandate that any disputes be resolved in Nevada. It also allows Internet consumer lenders to apply for a license to operate from outside the state without needing a license for an in-state office. The bill defines "Internet consumer lender" as someone who makes consumer loans exclusively through the Internet. The provisions do not apply to contracts entered into before October 1, 2025.
