Failed·4/12/25
Introduced Text

Revises provisions governing education by repealing financial management reviews of school districts.

The bill revises provisions governing education by repealing the requirement for financial management reviews of school districts. It eliminates the need for the Legislative Auditor and the Director of the Legislative Counsel Bureau to select school districts for review and for the State Board of Education to select an independent consultant to perform the review. It also removes the requirement for the board of trustees of a school district to hold a public meeting concerning the final report and vote on whether to adopt a plan for corrective action.
