Nevada SB406 grants immunity from civil liability to the State, institutions of higher education, and their officers or employees for actions related.

Nevada SB406 amends existing law to provide immunity from civil liability for the State, any institution of higher education, and their officers or employees for actions taken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This immunity applies to acts or omissions that impacted the provision of educational services during the spring semester of 2020, provided they were reasonably related to public health and safety and performed in good faith. The immunity applies retroactively to actions commenced on or after March 12, 2020, and expires by limitation on June 30, 2030.
