Establishes provisions for portable benefit accounts for sole proprietors and independent contractors in Nevada.

This bill establishes provisions for portable benefit accounts for sole proprietors and independent contractors in Nevada. It allows for contributions to these accounts, which can be used for health insurance, prescription drugs, medical expenses, and other benefits. Contributions cannot affect the classification of the account holder as an employee. The bill also authorizes certain withholdings for contributions and requires clear explanations and opt-in/opt-out options for withholdings. Effective July 1, 2025.
