SB313 revises Nevada's State Purchasing Act to limit contract extensions for supplies, materials, and equipment.
SB313 amends the State Purchasing Act to restrict the extension of contracts for supplies, materials, and equipment. The Administrator of the Purchasing Division can extend such contracts only once, with the term of the extension based on the increase in scope or price. If the increase is less than 10%, the extension can be up to 2 years; if it's 10% or more but less than 15%, the extension can be up to 1 year. For increases of 15% or more, the Interim Finance Committee must review the extension.
