SB311

Imposes certain requirements upon certain alarm companies. (BDR 52-730)

Failed·5/17/25

SB311 requires alarm companies to repair or replace defective systems or cancel contracts and refund payments.

SB311 imposes requirements on alarm companies that install and monitor alarm systems. If an alarm system becomes defective or inoperative, the alarm company must either repair or replace it or cancel the contract and refund any unearned fees. The company cannot charge penalties, fees, or additional costs for the cancellation. A violation of these provisions constitutes a deceptive trade practice under Nevada law.
