Nevada SB310 amends the law to restrict the removal or destruction of public monuments on state or other publicly owned land. A governmental agency may not remove or destroy such a monument unless the action is approved by the Governor. However, a monument may be relocated to a site of similar prominence, honor, visibility, and access without Governor approval. The bill also makes it a gross misdemeanor to willfully vandalize, deface, destroy, or damage a monument, with the court ordering restitution in addition to any other penalty.
