Nevada SB293 revises provisions relating to intercollegiate athletics by allowing student athletes to enter into contracts with organizations for compensation of their name, image, or likeness, excluding their institution or the NCAA. The bill prohibits institutions from enforcing NCAA rules that prevent such compensation and from altering scholarships based on such compensation. It also allows institutions to impose reasonable restrictions on such contracts. The act becomes effective on July 1, 2025.
