Introduced Text

SB262A revises qualifications for membership on town advisory councils and boards in Nevada.

SB262A amends Nevada Revised Statutes to modify the qualifications for membership on town advisory councils and boards. If the board of county commissioners has designated certain services to be managed by the town advisory board, members must be residents of the unincorporated town and qualified electors. If no such designation has been made, members must be residents of the unincorporated town and citizens of the United States or lawfully entitled to reside in the United States. The bill also revises the declaration of candidacy for town advisory board positions to reflect these changes.
