This bill revises provisions relating to industrial insurance in Nevada. It modifies the subrogation rights of insurers and the Administrator of the Division of Industrial Relations. The bill prohibits insurers and the Administrator from initiating proceedings against third parties unless the injured employee or their dependents have not initiated a proceeding within one year of the injury. It also limits the insurer's or Administrator's lien to the portion of any recovery that represents economic damages, excluding benefit penalties and certain administrative fines.
