Nevada SB233 establishes a certification program for food and farm products grown in Nevada and vendors selling these products. To qualify, vendors must sell at least 51% products grown in Nevada. The bill also mandates the creation of a Task Force on Farm Labor to study workforce issues, including challenges and strategies for attracting and retaining farm labor. The Task Force will submit a report to the Legislature by December 1, 2026. Additionally, the bill appropriates $800,000 to the Nutritious Food Purchase Account for the Home Feeds Nevada Agriculture Food Purchase Program.
