SB225 amends Nevada election laws by imposing a $1,000 filing fee for candidates in a presidential preference primary. The fee must be paid when filing a declaration of candidacy with the Secretary of State between October 1 and October 15 of the year before the primary. The filing fee is non-refundable and applies to candidates for the presidential preference primary election. The changes take effect on July 1, 2025.
