SB219 amends Nevada law to increase penalties for organized retail theft if the aggregated value of stolen property or services exceeds $50,000. A person found guilty of such an offense must be punished by imprisonment for a minimum term of not less than 3 years and a maximum term of not more than 20 years, and by a fine of not more than $30,000. The bill also allows the Attorney General to investigate and prosecute violations of this section and any other statute violated in the course of the theft.
