Nevada SB173 regulates the sale of certain plastic products and cookware containing perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances. Beginning January 1, 2026, the bill prohibits manufacturers from selling, offering for sale, or distributing for sale or use any disposable foodware, food packaging, or utensils made wholly or partially from recycled black plastic. It also prohibits the sale of plastic bottles designed to hold liquid for oral consumption.
