Nevada SB112 revises provisions relating to athletics by requiring public and private schools to designate each interscholastic or intramural athletic team or sport as either male, female, or coed. Schools must not allow members of the opposite sex to participate in teams designated for the other sex. If both male and female students participate together, the team must be designated as coed. The bill also prohibits governmental entities, licensing or accrediting organizations, or athletic associations from taking adverse actions against schools for maintaining separate teams based on sex.
