Introduced Text

Amends Nevada Constitution to subject Legislature to open meeting laws and require disclosure of personal interests.

This bill amends the Nevada Constitution to make the Legislature subject to the same open meeting laws as other governmental entities. It requires the Legislature to publish a list of conflict disclosures for each legislator, identifying personal interests that may result in a conflict of interest. Additionally, it mandates legislators to disclose publicly any relationship with entities that receive appropriations in bills. The bill also subjects the Legislature to the same inspection and copying laws for public books and records as other governmental entities.
