Nevada AB89 mandates policies for unclothed searches of children in juvenile justice facilities.

Nevada AB89 requires juvenile justice facilities to adopt and implement policies and procedures for unclothed searches of children. These policies must prohibit such searches except under extraordinary circumstances and mandate the presence of at least two employees during any search. Additionally, the employee responsible for the search must submit a written report within 72 hours detailing the search. The bill emphasizes the right of children to be treated with dignity and free from humiliation.
