Nevada AB86 revises forestry provisions by eliminating the need for a logging permit for cutting operations. Previously, timber owners or their agents had to secure a logging permit from the State Forester Firewarden before any logging or cutting. This bill amends NRS 528.042 to remove the permit requirement for cutting operations. The changes take effect on July 1, 2025.
