Nevada AB557 revises provisions relating to the Department of Taxation, including data matching with financial institutions for debt collection.

Nevada AB557 requires the Department of Taxation to develop and operate a system for matching data with financial institutions to collect certain outstanding debts owed to the State. Financial institutions must provide the Department with information on persons who maintain accounts and are identified by the Department as owing outstanding debts. The bill also authorizes the Department to disclose certain confidential information to financial institutions for debt collection purposes.
