Nevada AB551 mandates background investigations for employees and contractors of the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services of the Department of Health and Human Services. The Division must secure proof of citizenship or legal work eligibility and two sets of fingerprints from each employee and contractor. The Division must conduct an investigation at least once every five years. Current employees must submit information by January 1, 2026, and current contractors must submit information when their contract is renewed.
