Nevada AB48 revises provisions relating to bullying, including assigning perpetrators to different schools and ensuring timely investigations.

Nevada AB48 revises provisions relating to bullying, discrimination based on race, and cyber-bullying in schools. It authorizes the board of trustees to assign a pupil who is a perpetrator of such acts to another school at the request of their parent or guardian. The bill mandates that investigations into reported incidents must be completed within 5 school days, with an additional 2 days allowed if necessary. It also requires administrators to notify parents or guardians of pupils involved in the reported incidents and to provide them with available community resources.
